This past week was farely uneventful. It was freaking cold outside. Now I know I'm from the midwest and used to subzero temperatures.... blah, blah, blah... Except in the midwest you don't spend a large part of your day walking out in the cold weather getting to your final destination. In the midwest you have maybe a walk from the parking lot to your office. I have a 20 minute walk from the PATH train station at the World Trade Center to my office, which is on the other side of the island by the Brooklyn Bridge.
Anyway, we have been fostering a kitty, Jack, for our landlord since last Saturday. Jack had an infected cut on his tail which required 3/4 of his tail to get amputated.
He's doing a lot better now and gets his stitches out in a couple of weeks. Since our cats have now gotten used to him and even play with him, we're going to keep him at least until his stitches are out to make sure he continues to get his medication.
Our cats are even allowing him to sleep on their window perch while they sleep in close proximity on the bed.
As you can see, Jack is definitely playing up the sympathy card in our house.
And... a rare display of brotherly love without any head swatting, biting, hissing...
